The Stonington Public Library strives to inspire, enlighten and enrich all members of its community by providing excellent services and facilities that connect them to books, information and ideas needed for work, recreation, and education.
The Stonington Public Library has decided to remain closed until advised by the Maine State Library and Governor Mills. The library is still here for patrons but in a limited way. We offer no-contact pickups and deliveries on Tuesdays and Fridays. We also have free wifi 24 hours a day, and you can access it on our porch or parked in your vehicle out front. We are also offering online books through the digital Maine library.
We are trying to stay in contact with our patrons as best we can in this difficult time. We are challenging them to fill our window with images and titles of books they have read. We are also keeping up a steady stream of suggestions for ways to stay entertained and informed as we distance ourselves socially. If you would like to help support our efforts during the pandemic, please donate through our website
